Yo Umeda, the founding partner of Present Agency Inc., is a creative director, art director and designer with over twenty years of experience in the industry. He has lead campaigns for numerous iconic brands such as Apple, Nike, Adidas, and Sony.  San Francisco, New York, Amsterdam, Tokyo and now Los Angeles, Yo’s curious nature has moved him around the globe to seek out the next great challenge. 

As Creative Director at TBWA Media Arts Lab, Yo was entrusted with the the responsibility of overseeing various global campaigns for Apple, including the iPhone 5 global launch campaign. He also built the agency’s international creative department  from the ground up, later managing the entire APAC team of over 80 creatives in 5 offices across the globe. His many years of experience in global marketing has taught Yo the importance of communicating today’s global brands in a manner that is culturally relevant while maintaining each market’s unique DNA.  His new challenge is perhaps his most exciting - leveraging decades of international expertise to help brands expand their marketing opportunities globally.

When not thinking about the challenges of 21 century communication and technology, he can be found dealing with challenges of a different sort – as the father of two young daughters.

Rodney Pizarro was Counsel and Head of Business Affairs at independent creative agency David&Goliath, LLC. As the agency’s in-house attorney, Rodney advises is Creative, Production and Brand Management teams on a wide range of matters, specializing in intellectual property licensing with an emphasis on music, talent and celebrity deal negotiations, and overseeing contract drafting and execution. He also counsels his corporate clients on social media advertising campaigns.


Prior to Rodney’s arrival at David & Goliath, he worked at TBWA\ Media Arts Lab working on all things Apple advertising, specifically tasked with music and talent negotiations and managing international regulatory clearance of localized advertisements in the Europe and Asia markets.


Rodney received his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings Law School and his Bachelor of Arts degree from San Diego State University. He is a licensed, active member of the State Bar of California. Rodney prides himself on his ability to view business and legal issues with a creative filter.
Lucas Kuzma, partner and CTO at Present was introduced to HTML 1.0 at the Digital Media Lab while an undergrad at CWRU and has since spent over 20 years designing and developing interactive experiences for web and mobile. He has led teams focused on audiovisual interaction, scalable cloud infrastructure, e-commerce, and retail support. 

His love of creative coding has generated over a million App Store downloads, and he has performed at numerous venues from San Francisco to Berlin. Perpetually eager to learn, Lucas holds a BS in Computer Science, a BA in Philosophy, an MFA in Design | Media Art, and an MS in Information, Communication and Audiovisual Media Technologies. Always eager to share his knowledge and insights, Lucas has lectured on both design and programming at USC and UCLA.
